What is it Rutting Season?

Frick the way politicians are whoring themselves out to special interest and lobbies, I would have thought rutting season had started early by all the Fukery that is a foot. What do I mean by Fukery?

Thanks once again to our American cousins failure to do anything, legal gun owners in Canada will now have their right to own and possess handguns eliminated. The excuse is that handguns are being used in too many shootings and murders in Canada. The government cites a report from Stats Canada that has just been released in which in 2020 there were 743 homicides in Canada with 277 involving a firearm and of those, 40% were gang related. Handguns accounted for 75% of all firearm related murders. Stats Canada said it had no data on if the guns were legal or if the owner was licensed. I am going to hazard to guess those guns the gangs use are not legal and pretty sure none of them have a permit to own firearms as I doubt any would pass the background checks.

Mark my words; there will be virtually no changes to gun legislation in the US as the narrative about Uvalde has now changed from guns being the problem to the police failing to respond. If the gunman could not have bought the guns in the first place, then no one would be having this discussion and 19 little kids and two teachers would not have died in vane like so many before them. It’s shocking how the US has become such a fearful gun toting paranoid narcissistic conspiracy minded backwater to logical thought, especially by those in government.

These are two current examples of Fukery that I see occurring with government. In the case of the Liberal government and PM Photo Op, they are trying to appeal to the anti-gun lobby in Canada and those urban elitist donors who believe they know what is best and have little regard for what legal and vetted gun owners have to say. While this policy by the government appeases their elite masters, it does not at all address the problem of illegal guns coming into the country and landing in the hands of those who have no business possessing them, like organized crime. It is nothing but an appearance of doing something by picking the low hanging fruit, not dealing with the issue of illegal guns getting into Canada.

The Fukery in the US is the immediate attempts to change the narrative from a gun control problem to being a mental health issue or a failure of police. The NRA knows how to manipulate the narrative using its Republican cucks who outright lie and gaslight the American public through conservative media like Fox News. The NRA is well practiced at implementing this strategy. So far in 2022 there have been over 233 mass shooting in the US and each time the NRA roles out their well practiced playbook. They are masters at Fukery and why gun laws have become even more lax and gun related murders have gone up almost as fast as gun manufacturer’s profits.

In both Canada and the US, policy on the handling of firearms is being dictated by minority and special interest with no regard for what the majority wants. The minority in Canada is trying to get all guns banned and in the US the minority is trying to get guns in everyone’s hands. WTF?

In both Canada and the US there is so much Fukery and not just with gun laws and regulation but on a whole host of social issues. The current state of affairs throws common sense out the window and the will of the majority is ignored in favour of minority special interest.
